SCORPOS

SCORPOS (Scalable Configurable Robust Partitioning Operating System) is a real-time operation system for safty-critical applications. Originally developed as a solution which satisfies the requirements of both robust application partitioning and minimum-duration context-switch, SCORPOS has been used in several real-time control systems of the aerospace-, automotive- and railway domains.

Concept

SCORPOS was designed with the objective of maximum flexibility. Based on the graphical editor RMCneo, extensive configuration abilities allow tayloring a solution from a huge functional spectrum.

SCORPOS onfiguration data is strictly separated from the operation system itself, i.e. it is independently generated, flashed and runtime-loaded. This ensures re-usability of the OS, but also  enables runtime reconfiguration by reloading alternative configuration sets.

Readily available board support packages (BSPs) allow the immediate use of SCORPOS on the following processor architectures:

  • MPC 5554
  • MPC 5566
  • MPC 5567
  • MPC 750fx
  • MPC 5674f (Beta)
  • MPC 8349
  • ARM

Fully configurable drivers exist for the majority of these processors' integrated i/oss as well as numerous external peripheries, for example:

  • EMIO MPC55XX
  • EQADC MPC55XX
  • EQADC / DMA MPC55XX
  • TPU base driver for MPC5566
  • Ethernet LAN9218 and 9311 (with switch)
  • FlexRay MPC5567 / MFR4300 / MFR 4310
